ffirst of all, i've read all of the books (multiple times), and i completely love them. that being said, i went into this movie with extremely high expectations. i was so focused on what parts were different from the book that i came out disappointed. my boyfriend kept insisting that it was actually really good. "look, the movie has to be able to stand alone, separate from the book. everything can't be exactly the same, because the movie would be way too long. they did a really good job of condensing the story and keeping the most important elements intact." so, keeping in mind what he had said, i went and saw the movie a second time and absolutely loved it. so, please, go into the movie with open mind--you won't regret it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
