Having read the book I can say I liked the movie pretty well, but for those who have not read it and don't really know what Twilight is about you may be lost viewing this. There is some good acting and some bad, the effects are so-so, but overall, not bad. There is some humor to the movie as well- intentional or not. Rob Pattinson does a great job depicting the inner turmoil of Edward Cullen, however, Kristen Stewart is expressionless and flat throughout the movie. I pictured Bella a little more full of life than she depicted her. Sorry, Jackson Rathbone plays Jasper rather poorly.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
