I have watched all the series and all the movies that go along with them. I was afraid this movie would fall flat (especially with the curse of the odd numbers). I was so surprised. The movie has a great mix of action, special effects, and pay attention to the original character's quirks. I so understand why they have nicknamed the film zero. Even if you are not a fan of any of the star treks you will enjoy the movie, though you may not understand why the rest of the audience is laughing and clapping. I saw the film as the IMAX experience...believe me pay the extra money for it....it is fabulous.
