Took my 5 year old daughter, and we loved it. I read reviews that said it was too scary. I think these people should watch The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and maybe 101 Dalmatians, not to mention Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. I bet you all have at least one of these in your movie collection. The villain in this movie is no worse than the villain in these movies. It captured the magic of New Orleans that I remember from my childhood. If you have never been to New Orleans you may not truly understand it. It was a great kids movie with great lessons. Don't over think it, just go and see it.

Overall great movie. Some slow parts in the middle, the kids got a little restless. We bought tickets online, and didn't realize until the movie started we had gotten tickets for non-3D version. The kids (and parents) were very dissapointed. The movie was cute, but would have been spectacular in 3D.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
