Being an avid Star Trek fan, I awaited this movie's opening with mixed feelings... would I be able to connect this with the Star Trek I have always loved or would it be a disappointing attempt at reviving the cultural icon? From the very moment the movie began through to the end, I realized I had nothing to fear. I found myself engrossed with the cleverly written storyline and the cast of talented actors chosen to play the characters I loved. Kudos to JJ Abrams & everyone who worked on this (love Zachary Quinto!) – they have produced a quality movie that respects the vision of Star Trek and made it relevant to people today. I can only hope another installment is already in the works!
