Overall, pretty good, you need to read it first.

Book turned movie review, I think they did a good job adhering to the general story, most of the major conversations and events were there though many were arrived at by different means than the book. I realize its mighty difficult to translate 498 pages into a two hour film, especially when much of it is thought or emotion based. Book to movie-5 stars.
Stand-alone movie review, overall, I think it was visually excellent, the cast did a fine job though I found Stewart's performance a little flat. Continuity was a little stinted as there were a lot of slowmo's and then the action was rushed at the end. There were many nuances that only a Twilight reader would have caught. Stand-alone movie-4 stars. They don't have a 4.5rating so 4 overall.
