If you're a fan of video games, music, comic books, or good movies, go see this film. For those of you deriding Scott Pilgrim, what did you think the movie was about? I was not previously aware of the graphic novels, so I did not go in as an initiated fan. But the jokes, the pace, the quirkiness, the translation of the graphic novel elements, and the story itself were excellent. I applaud Universal for investing in this gem, but I'm saddened to see that it's target demographic isn't ponying up the money to go see it in the theater. Fans of original films should see this as an opportunity to encourage the studios to keep making movies that aren't remakes / sequels. Sure to be a cult classic, DVD sales should be phenomenal.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
