Adam Sandler's best movie was "The Wedding Singer" and all the rest have been mediocre at best. This movie wasn't even mediocre as I found the movie to be just plain boring and uneventful. The kids were cute, but Sandler's character lacked substance as did the whole movie. I already read another review saying that "Bedtime Stories will put you to sleep", so I went to this movie with the idea of proving that review wrong. What a bore!!!
I liked this movie. The acting was decent as was the story. I'm not a huge Will Smith fan, but I did enjoy him for the most part in this movie. Rosario Dawson's character really made this movie for me. I loved watching every minute she was on. There was just something about her character that I found really captivating.
I really didn't know much about the interviews, until this movie came along. The "Nixon" actor did a very good job, as did the "Frost" actor though David Frost isn't as animated as was the actor in the movie and I don't remember the real Frost as smiling as does the actor in the movie. I liked the movie though and would recommend it if you want to learn a little about those interviews.
There were a couple of cute scenes, but other than that, you'll watch a big dog tear up 'stuff' for two hours, then have your heart ripped out at the end. Jennifer Aston was horrible and although I like Owen Wilson, I didn't believe either of them in their roles for a minute.
Besides the woman behind me, who kept talking to her friend throughout the last thirty minutes of the movie (please folks, don't you get that you're NOT in your living room and you disturb others' experience of the movie), this was a well-acted and well-written movie.
The movie was slow and really, not much of a plot. The characters were one-dimensional and the ending was, well there really wasn't one. Perhaps, I'll get a little more sentimental about this movie tomorrow, but for now, I'd suggest to go see something else.
I actually thought this was going to be another kind of movie. Once the movie began, I thought to myself, "another cop movie". I stayed anyways and ya, it was okay. Not great, not bad, but the corn was good.
