I took my grandchildren (4, 5, 7)on Saturday afternoon, but before we went, we read the book so they might have a general idea what to expect. The "Wild Things" characters were almost identical to the illustrated "Wild Things" in the book. BEAUTIFUL! Grant it they took some liberties with the story, but as I explained to the kids, most movies don't match up exactly with books. Very young children would need much of the movie explained to them, but we found it most entertaining! and wasn't it refreshing to see a movie that was so simple and had such a good message?? as for the adults that were bored or had children that didn't get it, talk to the kids and give them some
