Better than I was expecting

To be perfectly honest, they did well with keeping to the story. The flashbacks were a welcome surprise.
Edward was handsome and charismatic, but he was also dorky. His originial reaction to her scent resembled the sensation to vomit rather than to kill her with a raging hunger.
The chemistry between Edward and Bella was great. The bitter animosity between Jacob and Edward at the end of the movie was premature, but it gives a good look at what's in store.
The only part that really started to bother me was that there were way too many closeups. If you go into this movie with an open mind and you don't expect to see the 500+ pages that you've likely read a half dozen times...you may just enjoy the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
