A movie with a developed plot??

I saw this movie once with a group of friends and once with my other siblings. I went into it expecting HSM or a twilight kind of thing with an actor that was easy on the eyes but not such a great actor. Zac Efron was natural and had great comedic timing. His emotions were sincere and I really believed him. And the plot!! I was amazed at how developed it was. Usually these kinds of movies leave much to the imagination, but this one had a very engaging storyline that was fun and enjoyable. I almost shed tears in one scene that Zac was in because the story was so believable at you felt the character's struggle. I would recommend this film to the teenage crowd that wants a decent movie in a time of half-made films
