The special effects were awesome, and I would give them a 10. The story, however, was disappointing mostly and I would give it a 7. Why do they deviate from the story? They could have made two movies out of this book and folks would have accepted that and been extremely supportive. But for whatever reasons, they didn't and they changed a lot of things. So, how will they tie up the story in the next two movies? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I loved this movie and I can't stop thinking about it. My 3 daughters read the books, but I never did, and so I had no expectations. I was thrilled with the outcome, even knowing that the book would be better than the movie itself. You just can't put everything in a two-hour movie. I LOVED the choice of actors. They seemed unsullied and fresh and I think this movie really needed the right ones to make it the success it was. This mom gives it a huge thumbs up!!!
