Aside from a few aesthetic problems (strange visual effects, heavy-handed make-up application in some cases, corny dialogue) the movie was very enjoyable. The plot stayed close enough to the book so as not to annoy die hard fans but strayed enough to make it a workable film. I look forward to the inevitable sequels and will most likely be seeing this again in theaters and purchasing the DVD as well.
Not being the target audience for this film (i am 24) i often catch a lot of criticism for liking the HSM movies but i can't help it! The plot was predictable as usual for this installment but i still enjoyed the music and the resolution of storylines for the main characters. There's nothing wrong with good wholesome fun!
