wacky, crazy is what i can say. A fun couple of ours forgetting the problems outside. a good summer movie. If you are looking for Oscar material look for other options.

good attempt to catch new fans

Trying to revive an icon of sci-fi history and reinvented is a difficult task. More plastic looking characters and less treki stuff was the formula. A lot of super impressive visual effects and a new timeline changed by future and past events, and not restored to it's original state is interesting, meaning that the new "old star trek" is open to rewritting, this is the more difficult change for fans to swallow.
good movie, I give it 3 and a half stars but the system will not let me do that. I settle with a three stars.
I am waiting for the new adventures of an old sieres reinvented from scracth. With Vulcan vanished and romulants without a clue of what will happen to them look messy for now, I hope they fix it in the next sequels.
