Based on what we saw on the trailer, We bought a Zoo it seemed like a great family movie for any age but after seeing it we are thinking not so much. The movie has a great story line and feel good moments but we were shocked at the language in the movie and didnt understand why it had to be thrown in the movie. There is even a word said by the little girl towards the end of the movie that I was shocked when I heard and then had to answer questions to my 10 year old as to what that meant. If I would have known this was in there, we probably would have opted out in taking our kids to see it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie was so inspiring not only to any child/teenager out there to follow their dreams but also to us parents who get to hear his songs day in day out! As a parent, I was able to connect with his mom. I too once was a single mom and just knowing you can just love your kids through ANYTHING and see them reach their dreams in incredible. There were parts you laughed, parts you cried but you could connect with them in everyway. My daughter and I had such a great time going to the show and will probably go again! DEFINITELY walk away feeling like you can conquer the world when you leave..
We loved this movie. It was good for both guys and girls. Im sure GUYS would have liked a little more war action but Im not sure girls would have seen it if it had.
