Not for kids at all. The setting of the movie was very dark and gloomy. Nothing I would have imagined for this classic story. The 3D effect wasn't great at all. The british accent and weird voice of Johnny Depp was very hard to understand. Half the time, I had no idea what he was saying. It felt like a 3+ hour movie. I say, wait for it on redbox! That's about all it was worth was $1 rental.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
