This version reminded me of Spielbergs A.I. (though I usually love his works) It felt as though they were 90% finished when their budget ran out. So, they cut the movie short and threw together some crap ending because that's all they could afford at that point.
A long drawn out movie with no payoff. But, some may like that.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This is a very deep movie and, though a little depressing, a very good message for the season. Knowing from all of the advance promotion and interviews that this movie doesn't unravel until the very end, I had no problem with the length and time taken for that to happen.
It may have been nice to have just a little more action earlier in film...perhaps an expansion on the car accident just for shock value. But, otherwise excellent!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

BRING BACK THE SERIES PLEASE!

I absolutely loved the moved! And, I will be going to see it again bringing other friends and I am female. I brought a straight male friend with me the first time who knew nothing about the series or the movie. He loved it as well!
I never found out why the series was discontinued but I wish SOMEONE would BRING IT BACK! PLEASE!
