I was hopeful, but concerned that the movie would not hold up to the hype. Reviews that are dominated by the performance of an individual sometimes mask a weak movie as a whole... this was certainly not true for "The Dark Knight"!
This was an amazing movie from start-to-finish, top-to-bottom. The story, acting, direction, cinematography and sound were all brilliant. The plot twists were plentiful and maintained the right balance between unpredicatbility and being too over-the-top.
The additional scenes in IMAX were astounding... I've never felt so immersed in a city-scape! The switch between IMAX and "standard" screen were not noticable form a technical perspective (unless you were looking for it).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
