This entire move is almost exactly verbatim to the comic! The only reason I say "almost" is there were a few scenes that were cut in the translation to the movie, but I'd say 95% of the comic made it in the movie, scene for scene.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Very well done, the effects are spot on, and the personality of Tony Stark is perfect. It keeps you on your toes through the entire movie.
And the after-credits scene is good, and entices a second movie. But casting for that scene (from a comic geek's perspective) is completely wrong.
