a little too violent

My daughter and I were really looking forward to this movie. We both like Kevin James, and the trailer for the movie was SO funny...with a great premise for a comedy. And the movie did have some funny parts. It also had some sweet parts, especially the scenes with his daughter in the film. One of the disappointments, though, was the fact that there was a little more violence and abuse towards James's character than I expected... even before the criminals took over the mall. He would have been a sympathetic character even without that much harshness.
Overall, we still enjoyed it, but I think if they'd focused more on humor and less on violence, it would have been even better.
