Action Balanced with *gasp* PLOT!

I admit I went in with high expectations; I know what Jackman & Schreiber are capable of on screen AND stage.
I wasn't disappointed.
The 2 fiercely battled with an underlying, almost imperceptible affection. Perfect for their roles.
Schreiber as Victor tells an entire story with a quirk of his grin, just as Jackman's Logan does with a quirk of his brow.
Ryan Reynolds was a hilarious Wade. Will.i.am was a subdued but solid Wraith. I had reservations, but Taylor Kitsch was a fantastic Gambit - though I wanted more of a Cajun accent from him.
I was expecting the usual 'girlfriend' in Lynn Collins, but she gave a superb performance - her eyes were the windows to her character's soul.
Worth every penny.
