Worth Seeing (But...)

Short Version: Good movie! Go see it!
Long-winded Version: As a stand-alone summer movie for the general movie-going public, "Star Trek" is outstanding. For true Trekkers, people who have problems with the suspension of disbelief, and active and ex- military folks, forget Star Trek canon and leave your brains at home. The movie has excellent character development for the Original Series fans, preposterous technical gobbledy-gook for the Next Generation fans, an improbable romance for the ladies, lots of zooms and ka-booms for the guys, and is overall entertaining for everyone else.
Go see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
