People who have not read the books might leave disappointed. The 650+ page book makes it difficult to get the important scenes into the movie. The director spent too much time on the "love" potions" thread and too little time helping viewers understand the importance of horcruxes to the story. That would have added to the urgency of the conflict in the cave. They should have made it three hours, not 2 hrs 33 min. I know that's long for kids to sit through, but we all know these aren't directed at kids anymore (nor were the books, at this point). I hope some of the missing info from this film works its way into the next two to help fill in the blanks. I enjoyed the movie. I'm not sure everyone will come away with the same feelings I did.
