Brilliant restart for the ST universe!

When I heard somebody new was doing a Star Trek movie, I thought, 'Oh, no. This will be a disaster.' I wasn't even sure I wanted to see it.
I couldn't have been more wrong. It was perfectly cast, well written -- just an ingenious way to pay proper tribute to all that we know as Star Trek while providing a fresh new way to look at the whole Star Trek universe. I think Gene Roddenberry would approve.
This Star Trek 'fixes' some of the things that were wrong from the beginning -- the subordinate female characters in particular. I especially love what the writers and Ms. Saldana have done with Uhura.
I cannot wait to see where we go next.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
