I went to see this as a good movie, not because I am enamored with the Batman character. I did the same with the second movie, which I loved because of Heath Ledger's great Joker. I was very disappoinetd. The first hour or so was so boring I actually dozed off for a few minutes, twice. I couldn't understand what Bane was sayiing and found all the sub plots so distracting I finally left, not really caring what happened. So, to be fair to the movie, I did not see the last 1/2 hour, which everyone seems to say was so good. Well, the first 2 hours 15 minutes were definitely not so good. I'll probably rent this when it comes out and fast forward to the last 1/2 hour.
Pros anne hathawy
Cons bad acting, too complex, slow, can't understand bane
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Somewhat disappointing

I dislike movies where situations are unbelievably ridiculous. A horrendous train crash within feet of these teenagers, yet they all go unharmed. Even the driver of the truck going into the train survives! The train crashes into the depot, yet the car parked at the depot remains unharmed. The monster suddenly has a conscience when he confronts the main kid, yet was heartless and brutal with everyone else. Loose ends all over the place. Actually, the zombie movie the kids made (shown during the credits, so don't leave if you make it all the way through,) was better than the main film. To her credit the young girl (Fanning) did a very good job of acting.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Keeps Your Interest

The Sixth Sense is a classic now, but I've come to expect less and less from this director with disasters like The Village and The Happening, but he's restored my faith in his work. This movie really keeps your interest. I knew almost immediately who the Devil was, although it was brilliant the way he made each character look like he or she could be, not to mention a couple parties not in the elevator. It's not a movie that will make you scream, but it certainly will keep you from running back for popcorn or a bathroom break. Very good and I'll probably go see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What Movie Were They Watching???

I have no idea what movie all these 5 star reviews watched! Boring, slow, poorly edited and WAY over preachy on subjects ranging from racism during WWII to faith in the Almighty. Give it a rest and tell the story! A complete waste of John Leguizamo and John Turturo. Anyone could have played their parts. Really disappointing. Eastwood may have insulted Spike Lee, but at least he made a good movie!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
