Amazing Experience

This production was incredible. A million times better than the film version, which was all that I'd seen of Rent prior -- now I understand what all the fuss is about. Takes you on an incredible journey with great characters and songs, and I recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in musicals. The filming of this stage production is good too -- there are some very nice close up shots. That said, I would have liked for them to pan out more to see the whole stage during the big group numbers. Other than that quibble, this is really a movie that you don't want to miss, and I sincerely hope that Sony eventually releases a DVD (along with a soundtrack!).
