I am totally disappointed in this movie. My husband slept through it, my daughter was totally bored and I was so displeased. Dark Shadows was a wonderful show that I watched faithfully as a child. I think this movie did a miss service to the very essense of the Dark Shadow show. Even John Depp couldn't make this show enterrtaining. Should have ask for my money back! Save your money and watch it on HBO or Starz.

Good movie but not a keeper

My daughter and I went to see this movie. I found it to be historically accurate for the time period. Had a few very funny and sad parts. But when it comes out on dvd I will not be purchasing it. Glad I saw it but it's not a keeper.

boring boring boring

I normally love Julia Roberts movies but this one fell short of even being fair. The scenery was great but the story line left me bored to the point of falling a sleep. The writers of this movie could have really made a great script but they didn't. Even the star power of Julia Roberts could not give enough cpr to this movie. The best thing I can say is wait and watch it on HBO, Stars or regular tv. You will be money ahead.

Better than expected

I must admit this movie was better than I expected. I am of the belief that the movie should follow the book, but in this case it was a very good movie. Had my doubts about Miley Cyrus playing Ronnie but she did good. Both my daughter and myself enjoyed the movie. One hundred time better than Dear John. I love Nicholas Sparks novels it is just when they make them into movies they for the most part lose a lot of the character I love in the book. I give this movie 2 thumbs up.

Ok movie but not great

My daughter and I were sorely depressed with New Moon. We felt Twilight was much better than New Moon. Yes it was nice to see wolf pack ( very buff) but it could not carry the movie. The interaction between Bella and Jacob was nice but the movie didn't flow. It felt like they didn't know how to seamlessly connect the events that happened in the book. Sorry guys but it was not up to my standards. I think the new director was looking to make it more action packed but in doing so it lost a lot of soul. May purchase it when it come out on dvd and try to watch it again but I am not paying $10 to watch it again onthe big screen.

A refreshing moment for the summer

All I can say is that this movie is the very best! For some reason this summers' movie choices have been rather boring. Meryl Streep was great as Julia Child. I have never laughed so hard. When this movie comes out on dvd or blu ray it will be a must have. If you need a good laugh this movie is guaranteed to fill the bill!

Excellent movie

I believe this movie to be an excellent movie for what I saw. There were 4 preteens that thought they needed to get up at least 7 times during the movie and then play texting during the rest of the movie. The ultra screen really was great. The opening scene were they were flying through town gave the stomach a flip or two, lol. Yes they missed a few key parts of the book but you can only put so much of the details in the movie in 2 hours 33 minutes thus the final book is going to be a two parter. All in all a very excellent movie! A must see again (when the parents of the teens have put them into bed for the night)!

Girls bring your puffs

I found the movie to be very different from the book. I was very happy to see that it didn't have all the adult themes that the book did have. And the character Jesse was very tame compared to the book. Over all I found the movie to be very enjoyable yet very sad. It brought to light the subject of designer babies for the sole purpose of being a donor for a sibling . I would see this movie again and will look forward to the release on dvd or bluray.

Twilight is breathtaking

My daughter and I went to see Twilight on Saturday, I have never been so entertained by a vampire movie. Robert Pattinson was an incredible Edward, I could just see the steam coming off him with Bella. But I must admit I did miss seeing the Biology where the class was typing blood. But the fan blowing Bella's scent was a total hit. I am looking forward to watching it again very soon. And I will be looking forward to the release of the dvd and book 2 in the future.
