The 2005 movie and live performances do not compare to this. It was a completely different experience. You are so close to the performers and see the little things that are missed in the audience of a live performance. The tears on the actor's faces, their anguise and their joy are so much more evident due to the fact that you feel as though you are on the stage with them. I have never cried while watching the movie or seeing the live performance though I have gotten choked up. But watching this, the tears were streaming down my face.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
