We need to never forget

Although the New York that Jonathan Larson wrote about no longer exists (Alphabet City is condos and the AIDS virus is more manageable) It's important to remember the ideals and the fire that the artists in this show exemplify and the need to create, that transcends reason sometimes! And the beautiful theme that family isn't always defined by bloodlines, family is what you make of it sometimes. It was shot almost like a longform music video and it was great that as many times as I've seen it live, it was fantastic to see the little details as far as expressions by the actors go and whatnot and it really added to the story for me. It almost makes me wish that they had come out with this film instead of the movie version a few years ago!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
