I had my doubts about going to see this because I hated the movie version with the original cast, but I LOVE IT!!!! This puts the movie version to shame. The acting was superior. The cast was excellent especially Will Chase, Renee Goldsberry, I love the chemistry. It was like being there in the theater but up close and personal. The close ups, Renee as Mimi actually crying. WOW!!! The guy who played Angel, he needs to be nominate for a Tony. Whoever thought of this concept, I hope it is here to stay and RENT will not be the only shows to do this. I would have love to have seen Dreamgirls and Cats on film. GO SEE!!!
