The special effects in this movie were spectacular, especially if you see it in 3-D. However, the plot has been played out. (i.e. White man tries to dislodge indians, then indians fight back and win.) I've seen this plot device used so many times. I feel like it's kicking a dead horse. As a society, we've seen this over and over again in plenty of movies. The point has been made. I like going to movies for entertainment, not to be preached at.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I thought that this movie was well acted, had a great plot, and would be a great family movie. I usually don't recommend Tim Burton movies for a kids movie, but this one was actually very well done. We'll worth the money to go see, and it's even better in 3-D.
I liked it except for the fact that the Heroin took so long to do anything about helping out the ward by not taking out the antagonist sooner, letting those women go through the trauma they went through was inexcusable. Also how the heck did a blind man manage to get his hands on a gun in the first place and where did he get his supply of ammo from? Was he stupid? Didn't he realize the chances of him hitting one of his own allies was just as great if not greater than hitting one of his enemies? As far as a science fiction hit and thriller goes I may recommend it to a friend as a DVD rental, but I wouldn't pay movie prices to see it on the big screen.
This Movie has a great plot that is full of action. The character build up and tension was very well done . It is well written and Family Friendly. I would recommend it to all of my friends.
