Wonderful, wonderful, terrible plot, but wonderful.....except the video / sound interruptions (packet drops?) were very upsetting and there was no sense of ownership of the problem on part of the distribution company or theater. An offer of a 1/2 price ticket to a future opera would have appropriate.
Am a season ticket holder, this is first time the system was overwhelmed.
The music in every respect was astonishing, beautiful, complex, the absolute top of the field. Not a flaw. Backstage at transitions was a gift and an opportunity one never has. The interviewing of performers was unprofessional, not thoughtful and at times uncomfortable. The link to the Met was down, we missed the first 40 minutes of intro material. There were packet drops throughout the performance. The translation began well after the start. Management gave us free tickets to return, but this event was marred by the limited technical success. Still wonderful and more than worth attending.
