ok but not worth$20 a ticket

I love RENT. i've seen the play live 3 times and of course own the movie so i jumped at the chance to see the final performance in the movies since making it to nyc wasnt possible. i was disappointed in some of the performers. Mimi was too mean instead of being flirty and I think Roger was pushing 40. When watching an actual live stage show i probably wouldnt have noticed but the extreme closeups they showed did not flatter anyone. i now know everyones dental history. the closeups plus shaky camera work was distracting from the show. on the plus side Mark, Benny, Collins and Angel were wonderful and it was nice to see Anthony Rapp and others at the end (sadly no Adam Pascal though).
No, I do not recommend this movie.
