I wish I had saved my money. Very weak plot, if any. Violence and more violence. Drugs and more drugs. And bad sex scenes.
Gere and Cheadle should be more picky!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I'm a guy, and I want to know what defines a "chick flick"? Is it when there is man-bashing involved? If so, this is no chick flick, because the men were strong and supportive. Meryl Streep was wonderful as she is in every movie she acts in. And Amy Adams was perfect as Julie Powell. The interweaving of the two lives was well done, but I would have enjoyed some literary license being taken to arrange a meeting of the two characters.
I might read the book after watching this movie, but I looked forward to the movie and it did not disappoint.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
