I recommend seeing this in 3D...the effects were really enjoyable! That's the first thing I have to say. The second, I'm 25 and I saw this and really enjoyed it! hahaha oh boy. I know, I know. But it's a great family film with some really silly moments. Fun for adults and children alike but the thing that made it really special was seeing it in 3D. I don't really expect it'd be that good as a regular movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I went into this movie knowing the backstory to the 'actual' events that took place in Connecticut. If you've seen the documentry and are expecting a movie based off it...you will be disappointed. Basically, the only similarities between the original and this movie is this: the names, the location, and the boy has cancer. Everything else is Hollywood. So, I was a bit disappointed because i went in expecting posession and an evil guy w/black eyes. Instead I got eyelids and floating vomit.
I do believe I'll be passing when this comes out on DVD.

Awesome movie and soundtrack

Don't go into this expecting Super Bad pt. 2...it's not as funny or silly but it is a great movie and it does have it's laugh out loud moments. I'm not into writing long reviews so I'll cut to the chase: It's good. I totally recommend it. It's clever and the cast makes sence. The soundtrack ROCKS b/c the movie takes you back to 1987... Can't wait to see it again!
