I hoped this would be funny but it was far, far funnier than I thought it would be. There was a lot of genuine, from-the-gut laughter in the theater, and my friend and I were doubled over for probably half the film. Pretty genius, especially for a first film outing. We went to see it last night and have been texting each other hilarious quotes from the movie ever since (e.g. "Uh...sir, please stay out of my affairs" and "Sometimes I wish you hadn't beat that cancer.") I'm actually excited for this to come out on DVD so I can own and watch it over and over again. Team Derrick all the way!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
