Fine film: a learning experience

Besides showing our government's terrible incompetence in dealing with New Orleans' disastrous hurricane--which we already half-knew, but not so graphically--this film introduces you to very poor people the average middle-class filmgoer would never meet. If she saw them coming, she would cross the street. Yet these people with their appalling English turn out to be decent, even heroic. In the end, you feel respect for and empathy with them.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
