If you know an addict, drugs or alcohol, you will see Charlize charactor remind you of them. The movie was self explantory and there wasn't a lot of questions pertaining to the movie during a Q&A with Patton Oswalt. Oswalt of course was very entertaining at the Q&A, an opposite of his charactor in YA. Acting I thought was great but you wouldn't want to be any of these charactors.
I didn't know a mini cooper would have a cassette player either.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I could have waited for the movie to hit PPV

(3.5 stars) I think the movie was/is over rated. It's a typical boxing story from a family with nothing to something and having to take care of his whole family (parents, sisters, and brother).
The acting was great, very accurate to the real people. Christian Bale did a great job with his character.
But I expected something great
King Speech out weighs The Fighter.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I expected too much from the hype

I guess I was expecting a lot more. But if any more movies come out in 3D I think I might buy my own 3D "wrap around" "lite" glasses. They were too big for me and the little girl next to me took hers off completely for at least 3/4th of the movie.
A lot of creativity & imagination went into this move for the 3D section. I expected more 3D type stuff happening especially wearing those heavy glasses.
It was okay for the experience
Yes, I recommend this movie.
