Took my wife and 2 sons-ages 8 and 5-to IMAX screening. Was possibly the longest AND shortest 2.5 hours of my life!
I say longest, because the action was RELENTLESS and at times I couldn't fathom how much was happening. I say shortest, because by the end, I wanted more.
New characters were great. Hardware (military and otherwise) was top notch. Storyline was a bit soft compared to the 1st installment, but totally forgivable considering the Super Sized serving of metal carnage and phenomenal scenery and locations.
My kids loved it-they are already begging for a 3rd movie. My wife loved it-"...perfect summer eye candy...."
Yes, I recommend this movie.
