I hardly wanted to go from reading all of the reviews of this movie, but I came away impressed. A lot of the national reviewers are not SW fans, and a lot of the opinions from moviegoers seem to reflect the traditionalists' attitude (traditionalists being those who think you're not a real SW fan if you like the prequels). The only thing that really got on my nerves was the incessant whining banter back and forth between Anakin and his padawan. This type of interaction is very common in cartoons, but I don't know any parents or elders who accept such cutesy disrespect. Putting that aside, the story line is pretty good, the battles are great, and it is a good start to the animated series.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
