massive action, little acting

to be honest, i really only went to see this movie for the special effects. and in that aspect, it delivered. right out of the gate, the action is loud & in your face even if i often had a hard time keeping up with who was who and who they were doing what to. the Transformers themselves are amazing having said that, it was the rest of the movie that got in the way. my biggest problem with this movie was the whole contrived bit with the 'teen vamp' Decepticon (Battlestar anyone?). it came from out of nowhere and was too big of a leap of suspension of disbelief for even me to follow. ignoring the actual acting in this movie, the robot action definitely got my adrenaline pumping and was worth the price of the IMAX experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
