I took my 8 year old Star Wars fanatic son to see this, and of course, he ate it up and loved it. We have some Star Wars animated DVDs around the house, so an animated story was no shock to us as it might be to adult SW fans.
Adults--don't bother. The trailers should have clarified better that this is really pitched to the cartoon crowd, not SW purists.
For kids--yes, take your younger kids to it. It's still decent movie fare for young SW fans.
