Went into the movie expecting to see a bunch of explosions, great special effects and most of all giant robots fighting. This movie delivered all of that. I did not expect any Oscar worthy performances and a gripping story so I was not disappointed with the average acting and dialogue. There is some very crude language and humor so not sure how kid friendly it is for kids that are eleven to twelve. I took my nine year old daughter with me and she loved it, but the crude humor seemed to go right over her head. I'd be cautious with a child that might be old enough to understand the references and will go see the third one that we all know is inevitable first before I decide to take her with me.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
