I am a long time Star Trek Fan. I expected this to be another lame action movie pretending to be Star Trek. However, since it was a Star Trek movie I had to go see it. I was pleasantly surprised. The writer's method of dealing with a story line that violated "Star Trek canon" was inventive and believable if you did not think about it too much. I liked the characters and the action was non stop. It was not perfect, but it left me looking forward to the next Star Trek movie that I'm sure will be coming.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
