The fight scenes were entertaining, but those few cut-scenes that involved actual plot building and exposition...not so much. We've got an Optimus Prime that executes his enemies at close range, a glass-jaw Megatron, and a set of illiterate robo-twins who do nothing but sling profanity and stereotypes...awesome. Lebouf and Fox show some spark, but never stop running and ducking laser blasts to get any real chemistry going - Turturro, luckily, still can give a clinic on scene stealing. So, ignore plot eat your popcorn and drink your slushee, and behold the two and a half hour CGI fest that is likely to be the #2 grossing movie of the summer.
