A No Brainer!

I don't understand some of the half hearted reviews of this movie. It was pure lighthearted action and entertainment, exactly what anyone who had seen the trailer(s) or other ads would have expected. Classic Bruce Willis at his best, and Tracy Morgan was hilarious. If you are looking for a fun, entertaining break from some of the other heavy handed fare currently playing, you will love it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I knew from the trailers I had seen that this movie would be good. However, I was totally unprepared for it to be great, but it is! The fact that it is (very accurately) based upon a true story makes it even more heartfelt and compelling. A great movie for all ages!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I had planned to see another picture, which was sold out, so I opted for "Pirate Radio", which I knew nothing about...what a great surprise! A spectacular cast, and lots of fun.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Wow! While the story may be pretty much the same, the telling is certainly anything but. I saw the movie in IMAX 3D, and I can tell you that the technical achievement here is nothing short of spectacular! Besides being a great way to kick off the Holiday season, and put you in the spirit, you will be dazzled.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great Perspective

This movie offers great personal insight into an individual about whose mysterious disappearance much has been written and filmed, but about whom little has been produced as a person. I really feel as though I know Amelia Earhart having seen the film. The cinematography, costumes and sets are beautiful, and the actors all do a fine job of portraying real people with real life issues. I must say that I do not understand the less than glowing "critical reviews" of this movie; The critics have reviewed so many movies with less merit so much better than they have this one...I wanted to see for myself, and am very glad that I did. You will be too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Every American Should See This!

I went to see this movie purely for the entertainment, fully prepared for simply a humorous movie with a total left wing bias. What I saw was an extremely thoughtful and insightful look at how our national economy reached the breaking point over three decades, told in an easy to understand and humorous way. No political party or administration was spared from the truth about its role. The movie was both "fair" and "balanced". Go see it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Feast for Foodies

I am an unabashed foodie; If you are not, perhaps this is not the best movie for you. I knew nothing in particular about Julia Child, and had never had any particular interest in her story. However, I went to see the movie because of all the hype. The portrayals by Streep and Adams of their characters love of, not only food, but their joy and seriousness about its preparation, and as a subject in general, was superb. I found myself profoundly interested by Julia's life, and Julie's as well. If you like food, you will love this movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Total Chick Flick (But a Very Good One!)

I was one of about three guys in a packed theater on a Tuesday night to see this movie, and was completely prepared to hate it; the cacophony of female chatter before the movie began was deafening! However, the on-screen chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, along with a somewhat less than predictable story line keeps your attention from beginning to end...and it is VERY funny!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
