This is waht I sent to friends as soon as I got home after the show
"I can only say I am speechless and unable to find words for the experience I just had.
I JUST came in from seeing the UNIQUE (and I know what that word means) TRULY SPECTACULAR – BREATHTAKING – PERFORMANCE OF THE 25TH anniversary at O2.
The amazing production on a live screen may have been an even greater experience than being there! The cinema audience clapped spontaneously time after time.
Watching and seeing (close up) the fabulous cast and orchestra and choir and entire production was incredibly embellished at the end when the members of the original (1985) cast came on and all the past and present stars sang arias in groups."
Given the opportunity I wouls see it again in a shot.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It is brilliant and (literally) fantastic. My friend and I saw it last night FOR THE SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS! It may well be the most enjoyable movie I’ve ever seen. It is so true to the clever Carroll story and so fabulously interpreted. My favorite was the Cheshire Cat and I can’t now see the new moon without waiting for him to appear in the sky. Wonderful make up and acting – especially Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Red Queen. Great use of 3D and the scenery and animals and flowers were utterly beautiful. Even the end credits were mind blowing in showing how much went into making this. We felt wonderful afterwards – both times. Don’t miss it – in 3D if possible.
Disjointed. Very hard to follow "any" (?) real plot. First time I've seen nothing interesting or creative from Johnny Depp. His love interest was boring and made no sense. (A pick up – for what reason?) Why all that blood and gore but when they're in bed they have clothes on? And as for the legendary Edgar Hoover - that actor (?) had no character either. And who could keep up with the identities of all the thugs and cops? NO, I would NOT recommend any of my friends to see this movie. It seemed to be just an excuse for shoot 'em up car chases. Seeing the gun men riding the running boards was exciting but how come all those bullets firing and missing the other cars?
