I've been a fan of Star Trek since I was very young and am very pleased with JJ Abrahms take on the Star Trek story. This movie breaths new life into the series and entertains. It's true to the original and yet takes off in some very different directions. Those wanting orthodoxy might be disappointed but those who loved the series for the basic concept of "boldly going..." will accept this new tangent as an exciting opportunity for new adventures. It's one of the few movies I seen lately that leave me wishing I hadn't seen it so that I would be able to watch it again for the first time! I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
