Most of the other review I've read pretty much capture my thoughts about the details of just how good this move is. That acting was superb all-around (which makes Ledger and Eckharts standout performances even that much more incredible) - the writing and story development phenomenal - by far the best movie I've seen in a long time. For me the proof was displayed by how quiet a completely packed theater could be. More than once, when the action on the screen was at a very quiet point, you could hear a pin drop - the audience was that engaged. If nothing else convinces you - that should. I will also agree with several of the other comments that this is NOT a movie for kids. It deals with very dark subject matter, and contains a lot of violence - both actual and implied (the implied is by far the more graphic!). That's not a complaint - it's all necessary for the story and fits well, just not suitable for kids. Enjoy - it is truly the best movie of the year!
