This movie is way overrated. It starts out feeling like a sequel, which it is, but IMO the best sequels act as standalone movies. We get updates on all the characters which wastes the first 30 minutes. Then we get to see the Joker, which brings some much needed entertainment, but the role is overacted and grows tired quickly. He doesn't act much like a clown, just an awkward and distracted psycho with makeup and a James Dean affect in his voice. It seems that Heath Ledger is being praised disproportionally for the role due to his recent death. When we finally see Two Face, it felt like the movie was about to end with a cliffhanger. It should have. We have to endure another 45 minutes with a brand new psycho and ridiculous special effects. At least I got a laugh out of those. I do not recommend this movie unless you're a comic book nerd, but I'll give it two stars simply because, well, there are worse movies out there.
